The State of Maryland’s Sex Offender Registry offers a sophisticated search function with detailed results and several mechanisms to alert you to changes of location for specific sex offenders. Profiles contain the standard information: name, address, charge and category, the police or sheriff’s office that provided the information, date of birth, age and current status. A clear thumbnail accompanies the profile and a larger image is available. Simply click on the request to be notified of any status changes for a particular sex offender.

Maryland allows you to narrow your search by offender type: child sexual offenders, offenders, sexually violent offenders and sexually violent predators. You may also search for sex offenders employed or enrolled at post-secondary schools and registrants that are not Maryland residents. The map also includes the locations of churches, schools and other locations where the proximity to a registered sex offender may be of concern.
Email and telephone alerts are available through the State and through the national service Vinelink. Links are available to all online sex offender registries for other states and to the national sex offender registry.
