The Alaska Sex Offender/Child Kidnapper Registry includes offenders who have been convicted of certain sex offenses specified by Alaska law and all child kidnappers. Profile details are minimal and there is no mapping function. This site does offer a unique preview profile feature that could be a timesaving feature.
Each offender’s profile includes a physical description, the registered address and any aliases. The profile also has the offense, conviction date and the date of the offense. Court Docket Number and statute is included, seemingly more useful to law enforcement than the public.
Alaska offers one type of search, but offers search criteria unseen within these limits. You can search the database by first name, last name, address type (all, registered, employment and school), address part, zip code and city.
The Alaska Sex Offender Registry website has links to legal code, but no safety and prevention information that would be of benefit to the community.
Convenient drop down menus are provided for address type, zip codes and cities. The search menu reappears on your results list to make a subsequent search easier.
